Robert E. Lee
Robert E. Lee was an American Military officer who was born on January 19th, 1807. In 1829, he graduated at second in his class from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He is most known for commanding the Confederate Army during the Civil War. He chose to follow his home state in secession although he had been offered by President Lincoln to lead the Union Army in the war and his own personal beliefs that the country should stay united.
